As the lead designer in collaboration with Baker Douglas, I spearheaded the UI/UX development of the PhoneBook mobile app. This app was conceived to provide users with access to premium art publications through a subscription model. The challenge was to create a seamless and user-friendly mobile app that not only met the brand’s aesthetic standards but also delivered an elevated art consumption experience to users.
Approach: The journey commenced with a deep understanding of the brand’s essence and the user’s desire for an immersive art consumption experience. I meticulously crafted the UI/UX design, focusing on creating a platform that seamlessly integrated with the brand’s aesthetics. This process involved planning user journeys, developing high-fidelity wireframes, and translating them into an intuitive UI design.
Challenges & Solutions:
Artful Aesthetics: Balancing the app’s design with the brand’s artistic aesthetics posed a challenge. We achieved this by meticulously curating every visual element and ensuring it aligned with the brand’s identity.
Seamless User Experience: Creating an art consumption experience that was both seamless and user-friendly was paramount. We conducted user testing and refined the UI to make sure users could effortlessly browse, access, and enjoy premium art publications.
Dev Team Coordination: Orchestrating collaboration with the development team was essential to execute the app’s vision. I provided clear direction, liaised closely with the dev team, and ensured that the design elements were flawlessly translated into a functional mobile app.
